Preferences - Dashboard Management

The Dashboard management feature is available to users via the Preferences >> Dashboard menu options. The tabs and options available on this set of screens is available for each of the various dashboards available to a particular user (determined by each users roles and the licensed modules installed in your system).

Performance Tip:

Because dashboard charts are generated real time, you may want to avoid placing too many charts on a dashboard and in particular on your Home Dashboard which is displayed every time you sign into the system. You can use the controls described below to place your favorite charts on various dashboards for quick reference but you may want to avoid loading up your home page to improve your overall personal and system response time.

The left menu may have the following options:

Dashboard (control there order of the sections that appear on the dashboard)

The Dashboard tab is used to control the order of the sections that will appear on a particular dashboard. You can alter the order of the items by selecting a particular item and clicking on the up or down arrow to change their relative position.

Note: If the Enable Expense Request Functionality (unasense.request.enable) property is set to false, Expense Requests will not be included in the dashboard sections.
Charts (control which charts will appear on your dashboards)

The Charts tab is used to control which saved and/or shared charts will appear on your dashboard (as viewable dashboard sized charts). To move a chart onto or off of a particular dashboard, select the item and use the left or right arrow buttons to make the change. Note that in the Available Charts section, the charts are separated into two groupings to identify which charts are your own saved charts vs those charts and Administrator saved as a shared chart. Once you move charts into the right "Added Charts" window, you will no longer have that designation as you can resort these charts in any order you like (ie they do not need to be grouped by your charts vs Administrator charts).

To alter the order of the charts, select a particular item and click on the up or down arrow to change their relative position.
My Reports (control which saved reports and ad-hoc reports will appear on your dashboards)

The My Reports tab is used to control which saved reports will appear on your dashboard (in your My Reports listing). To move a report onto or off of a particular dashboard list, select the item and use the left or right arrow buttons to make the change.

Note that the list of Available My Reports includes any saved report selection criteria that you have saved plus any ad-hoc reports that you have saved. Reports made available to you via sharing are managed on the "Shared Reports" tab.
My Lists (control which saved list selection criteria will appear on your dashboards)

The My Lists tab is used to control which saved list selection criteria will appear on your dashboard (in your My Lists listing). To move a saved list onto or off of a particular dashboard list, select the item and use the left or right arrow buttons to make the change.

Note that the list of Available My Lists includes any saved list selection criteria that you have saved.
Shared Reports (control which shared reports will appear on your dashboards)

The Shared Reports tab is used to control which shared reports will appear on your dashboard (in your Shared Reports listing). To move a report onto or off of a particular dashboard list, select the item and use the left or right arrow buttons to make the change.

Note that the list of Available Shared Reports includes any saved report selection criteria that an administrator has saved and made available (e.g. "shared").
