Active
This indicator, which exists on the person profile -- profile tab, is used to indicate whether a Unanet user id is active or inactive.
- User Ids identified as active can be used to log into the system. User IDs identified as inactive will not be permitted to sign into the system.
- Only active user ids are counted for the purposes of licensing restrictions (see About page for information about your licensed number of users).
- Existing data for inactive users will remain in the system for reporting purposes.
- Inactive users will not appear in many listings & filters throughout the product (unless you explicitly indicate inactive entries should be included).
- User IDs configured with any of the following options cannot be set to inactive:

- Activation approver for one or more vendor organizations
- Primary Approver for an Approval Group
- Primary Project Approver for an active project
- Primary Customer Approver for an active project
Note that some of these restrictions are only enforced with active projects. If an inactive project is updated to an active status, these same validations will occur to ensure all Primary Project Administrators are associated with active user ids.
For the following situations, the user will be inactive and "Pending activation" will display on the profile tab until the user is activated:
- when a user is created through the subcontractor portal
- when an HR Administrator adds a user designated as a subcontractor on the Roles tab
- when the vendor requires approval of user activation (see Organization - Vendor Profile)
