Attachments

The Attachments field can be used to provide the name of the file you would like to attach to the current document (i.e. project note, expense report or request, journal entry, vendor payment, customer payment, deposit, etc).  The user can either type in the name directly or they can click on the Browse button to find and select a file for attachment.

You can attach many files to a single document.

Once a file has been attached, it is stored in the Unanet database and is available for viewing by other users which have access to the document.  You cannot change the name of an attached file, you must instead delete and re-attach to accomplish this objective.

A list of valid or invalid allowable file extensions can be implemented by the Administrator using the following properties: File Extensions that are Not Allowed  (unanet.attachment.invalid_file_extensions) and File Extensions that are Allowed  (unanet.attachment.valid_file_extensions).  Further, the allowable size of a attachment file can be limited using the Maximum Size Allowed for Each Attachment  (unanet.attachment.max_size) property.

Certain non-numeric or non-alphabetic characters may be unallowable for inclusion in the filename (i.e. +).
