Begin Date

This field identifies a begin date for a particular user planned work entry.  This field is required.

Users cannot have two planned work entries with overlapping date ranges (on the same project or task).

When using the Plan with Grid option, the begin and end dates are automatically supplied (and align with the beginning and end of the grid cell time periods, e.g. month).

For reference purposes, the project's begin date is also displayed.

Note that if the Link Dates to Project / Task Dates option is checked (see Project People Assignments), the Plan dates are derived from the project (or task) dates (depending on whether the plan is made at the project or task level) and cannot be directly entered on a Planned Work entry.
