Bill Rate
Each item in Unanet can have a bill rate associated with it at the master level or project level. This is accomplished via the Administrative Setup Items screen or Project Items screen. These relationships are time bound (thus, you can have various bill rates over time).
Item bill rates may be overridden on a project by project basis. The source for the bill rate may be either:
Master Item Rate -- the rate designated at the master item level.
Project Level Override -- the master item rate can be overridden at the project level such that Item 1 could have a $100 rate on Project A and a $125 rate on Project B.
No Item Rate -- you also have the option of not using rates at all.
Custom Override Rate -- a custom rate can also be provided.
Note: Markup will be used to calculate billable amounts related to an item only if the item was set up to be Billed By markup (on the Item Summary tab). If the item was set up to be Billed By rate, then markup information will be ignored and the billable value will be calculated based on the quantity and bill rate.
