Block Out as Unavailable for other Plans
This field allows the Project Planners to reserve the days in the date range specified by the begin and end dates for the current project/task. By reserving the days for this entry, the Project Planner will mark these days as unavailable for any other planned time entry that overlaps the date range.
This feature will be useful in reporting if you have specific planned entries that must occur during a certain date range and you would like other entries (i.e. with a wider date range) to have their time allocated around these blocked out entries. For example, you may have two planned work entries, one for 32 hours for a weeks duration and one for 8 hours 'blocked out' on that Wednesday. Using the block out on the Wednesday entry would instruct the allocation algorithm to spread the other 32 hours across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for 8 hours a day (otherwise it would spread the 32 hours equally across the entire week for 6.4 hours a day -- and you would end up with 14.4 hours planned for Wednesday).
The Project Planner can still over book a person during the blocked out period if he/she chooses to do so. This overbooking can be prevented using the Allow Overbooking Blockout (unasource.overbooking.blockout.allowed) property.
