Consolidation Parent

The Consolidation Parent field is available if your system has multi-entity accounting enabled (see Setup Multi-Entity) and if the organization is a legal entity. This field specifies the parent of the legal entity and is an optional field.

 

Establish Consolidation Hierarchy

Establishing a Consolidation Parent Organization for the current organization is done on the Organization >> Edit >> Financials tab (Organization Hierarchies field).  

When establishing a Consolidation Parent Organization relationship, the values available to choose from will include all active legal entities excluding the organization being edited and any of its child organizations.

There are no restrictions as to when you can change or remove an organization from participating in a consolidation hierarchy.
