Control Purchase Order Amount(s)

This field controls the amounts on Purchase Orders (POs) created from this PR.

There are two options for Control Purchase Order Amount(s):

• Summary
• Detail Lines

If the Summary radio button is selected, then the purchase order (PO) amount is controlled at the summary level.  For example, with a Request Amount of $10,000, the total of the detail lines can be less than $10,000, but can't exceed $10,000.

If the Detail Lines radio button is selected, then the purchase order amount is controlled at the detail lines level.  For example, with a Request Amount of $10,000, the total of the detail lines must equal $10,000. Also as an example, if you have a labor detail line with amount of $500, then the related PO line cannot exceed $500 because it is controlled at the line level.

Note: For Mods, Control  Purchase Order Amount(s) can always be changed from Detail Lines to Summary. However, control can only change from Summary to Detail Lines if no PO has been created from the approved PR Mod.
