Default Pay Code

Each project is defined with a default Pay Code specified.  When a user is entering time, this pay code will be selected by default in their pay code drop-down list (which the user can then override).  

If the 'Derive Default Pay Code' option is selected, the system will attempt to determine a default value for the pay code based on other system settings such as the System Default Pay Code (if established) or user Default Pay Code preferences.  Learn more about pay code defaulting.

Note that a Project's Default pay code will need to be a valid option as specified on the Project >> Pay Code screen.
