Deposit Amount

The Deposit Amount field is a required field when entering a Deposit.   Any numeric value is allowed (the number can be zero, positive or negative).

Typically, if the amount is positive, it is a deposit, if negative it is a bank charge or insufficient funds returned check, and when zero it may be a correction, intercompany transaction, or other accounting adjustment of some sort.
