Earliest Open Fiscal Period

The fields in this section display attributes associated with the earliest Fiscal Period for the Posting Feature (for a particular Legal Entity) that has yet to be closed, including:

• Name - This field will reflect the name of the Fiscal Period.
• Begin - This field will display the beginning date of the Fiscal Period.
• End - This field will display the ending date of the Fiscal Period.

The fiscal period displayed is the earliest of the non-closed fiscal periods for the Legal Entity and Posting Feature (that is, the period that immediately follows the latest closed period).  

If a particular Legal Entities and Posting Feature have never been closed, the earliest fiscal period in the system will be displayed.

Fiscal Year and Fiscal Period details are defined on the Admin >> Setup >> Accounting >> Fiscal Year screen and must be set up in order to use this functionality.
