Add T&M Labor Section

The + Add T&M Labor Section link will allow you to breakout your T&M Labor details into multiple sections.  Each section can include its own line item detail layout.  

When adding a new section, consider the following:

• A new section of type T&M Labor will be created as a copy of the original / existing section of that type.
• Any additional sections created can be deleted but the original section cannot.
• The original 'catch all' section will be positioned at the bottom of the left hand side of the T&M Labor tab when configuring this screen.
• The newly added section will include all of the same capabilities, with an additional Filtering control.  
• The values selected in the Filtering control will determine which T&M Labor data will be included in that section of the invoice.
• When adding an additional section, the Filter By and Filter Value fields are required.

The Filter By criteria for T&M Labor includes:

• Labor Category
• Document Type
• Cost Element

Once you specify the Filter By criteria as one of the above options, you will then need to specify values to filter for in the Filter Value control.  This will allow you to specify the sub-set of data to be included in the current section details.  Those details not matching the filter criteria will be available for display in subsequent sections.  Using the add row icon, you can add multiple Filter Value options (the options available in the drop-down will depend on your Filter By choice).  

As T&M Labor details are being processed, those details matching the Filter By criteria will be included in the current T&M Labor section.  

• Those details that do not match the Filter By criteria will be available for inclusion in subsequent T&M Labor sections.  
• Those details that do not match specific Filter By criteria for any section will be included in the final / original 'catch all' T&M Labor section which does not have its own Filter By criteria.  
• While individual items may match Filter By criteria for several sections, those details will be included in the first section with which they match the criteria.
• The sequence sections are considered for filtering is managed by the Data Collection Order control.

Global Subtotals and Data Collection Order

When you have multiple T&M Labor sections, you can manage the order in which the filter criteria will be applied using the Data Collection Order control (which will appear above the list of section definitions once you have more than one section of a particular type). Using the blue up and down arrows, you can manage the sequence of the sections.  The default non-filtered 'catch all' section will always be processed last.

An additional Subtotal All T&M Labor Sections control will also appear when adding multiple T&M Labor sections, which provides the option for a custom label and an additional Subtotal value (reflecting the sum of all of the T&M Labor sections to be displayed after the final T&M Labor section).
