Max Future Periods
This is an optional field that can be used to limit the entry of future timesheets. By default, this field is not populated which equates to no limit. This field may be useful if you would like to prevent users from accidentally creating timesheets in a future period depending on your policy.
This field accepts a numeric value between 1 and 99 which represents the number of time periods allowed beyond the end date of the current time period (relative to today's date).
This feature can be used alone or in conjunction with the Cut Off Date field (also on the Setup >> Time Period Setup screen) as well as the Allow New Timesheets field (available on the specific Setup >> Time Period screens) to limit the entry of timesheets.
This feature does not prevent Administrators from creating future time periods, but rather is only enforced where end users create new timesheets (thus, these restrictions do not impact Time Import or Time Populate administrative functionality).
