Organization Source

The Organization Source field is used to determine which organization will be used during the posting procedures.  

The available options include:

• Legal Entity -- the default posting organization for the Legal Entity will be used to post (this value is configured in the Default GL Posting Organization field on the Organization >> Edit >> Financials tab).
• Project -- the Project Owning Organization of the project charged by the transaction will be used to post (unless the Task has an Owning Organization specified in which case it will be used).
• Person -- the Person Organization of the Person associated with the transaction (or the Assignment - Person Org Override which may have been defined) will be used to post.  
• • If there is no person associated with the transaction, the Project Owning Org will be used.
• None -- the organization used to post will not be determined by the Posting Group.
