Project
The Project drop-down listing allows you to select the projects to which you plan on charging expenses for (on this expense report). This field will contain a concatenated value that includes the Project Organization and the Project Code.
While you can identify multiple projects, It does not imply that you will be charging all expenses to all of these listed projects, but rather, you are building a sub-list of projects to which you intend to create line items for this particular expense report. If you plan on 'splitting' or 'sharing' charges across multiple projects, you can identify an allocation amount on several or all of the projects on the Purpose screen (but note that not all of the projects must participate in this 'allocation' as you can leave 0% on several projects, while including several others that total the required 100%).
The ability to charge to more than one project can be controlled with the Limit Expense Reports to one Project (unasense.single.project.expense.limit) property.
You can only see projects that you are assigned to, or are open for all users to charge against.
The list of projects and tasks that you have available in your expense report drop-down list can be maintained via your My Projects screen.
Note that some projects that may appear on your My Projects screen, may not be available for expense reporting if the Allow Expense Reporting setting was not checked on the project profile expense tab.
You may not be able to submit your expense report if you have charged any expense line items outside of an assignment date range.
Closed projects will not appear in the project drop-down list.
Expense Users can view Project details by clicking on the () icon.
If the Show Project Org Code on Expense Report Edit (unasense.expense.org.display) property is enabled, the Project Organization code will be suppressed in your editable and preview expense reports.
Likewise, if the Show Project Title on Expense Reports (unasense.project.title.display) property is enabled, you will see the Project Title concatenated onto the Project Code in your editable and preview expense reports.
See Project Missing from drop-down on Timesheet or Expense Report for more reasons why a particular project/task may be missing from your expense report.
Note: Users can charge expenses to projects and tasks outside of their legal entity for intercompany efforts (see Multi-Entity) if they are assigned as a loaned intercompany resource on that project (see new assignments page Intercompany Support).
