Project
This field is required on a financial document detail line item if the Account entered on that line item has been identified as a project related account (that is, if the Account was configured on the Admin >> Setup >> Accounts screen with the Require Project indicator checked). Otherwise, it is not allowed.
The projects available will be limited to:
Those that have an Owning Organization that belongs to the same Legal Entity as the Legal Entity defined on the Financial Document
Those that are associated with a Project Status having the Active indicator enabled
If the Vendor Invoice (VI) detail line is associated with a Purchase Order (PO) line, then project is pre-populated with the value from the latest approved PO line (or summary, if no lines exist on PO).
For VI labor detail lines, if labor category is specified, then projects are also restricted to those that allow a labor category (see Projects >> Time). Also, only projects that allow time reporting (or have a task that allows time reporting) will be included.
For VI expense detail lines, only projects that allow expense reporting (or have a task that allows expense reporting) will be included.
For VI item detail lines, only projects that allow item reporting (or have a task that allows item reporting) will be included.
For Customer Payment detail lines, Deposit detail lines, and Vendor Payment detail lines, only projects that allow expense reporting (or have a task that allows expense reporting) will be included.
