Project/Task Display Controls

The controls included in the Project/Task Display Controls section on the Summary tab, will influence project and task display formatting everywhere they may appear in the invoice output.  

For Projects, the controls include:

• Show Project Organization Code
• Show Project Code
• Show Project Title

When displaying these project components, they will appear in the following order:  Project Org Code, Project Code, Project Title (when shown and have a non-null value).

The areas of the invoice that may display this project information include:

• Project Headers -- if grouping by project
• Line item description column -- if displaying project as a line item detail column
• If none of the Show Project options are selected, then a dash symbol will be displayed in those places a project identifier would otherwise appear
• Likewise, if only the Project Title is selected to be shown and a particular project has no title, a dash will be displayed in it's place

For Tasks, the controls include:

• Show Task Number
• Show Task Name

When displaying these task components, they will appear in the following order:  Task Number, Task Name (when shown and have a non-null value).

The areas of the invoice that may display this task information include:

• Task Headers -- if grouping by task
• Line item description column -- if displaying task as a line item detail column
• If none of the Show Task options are selected, then a dash symbol will be displayed in those places a task identifier would otherwise appear
• Likewise, if task is intended to be shown but the displayed item has no task (i.e., it is a project level item), a dash will be displayed in its place
