Show Alerts When
The Show Alerts When option is available to define which types of alerts are to be monitored. In this section you will determine which types of alerts to include, and additional information for each such as what the % threshold is, and whether you are comparing to the Budget or Estimated Total amounts.
Note that the budgets used in the comparisons are the project level budgets defined on the project profile >> budget tab (for project level alerts) or the task profile >> budget tab (for task level alerts) .
Project Billable $ -- is calculated as hours * bill rate and possibly expenses
Gross Revenue Calculation
The calculation of Revenue (which should mimic what is calculated by the [Revenue (Gross)] tag of the Cost Report definition) based on the project's or task's Billing Type is determined as follows.
- Gather all existing time, expense, and financial document expenses. Consider ALL existing actuals regardless of status.
- Calculate revenue based on the rules for the project's billing type. Do not consider revenue caps, fee caps or write offs at this point.
- Add in any revenue that has already been posted
- Add in any revenue-related "additional items" from Draft invoices
- Add in any FP items recognized on invoice completion from the Draft invoices
- Add in projected FP revenue as follows:
-
- Revenue recognized on % complete, where % complete derived as:
-
- as entered into Snapshot for WBS through the alert run date, or
- as entered into WBS (date range is irrelevant here), or
- estimated from all actuals included in the previous "actuals gathering" step
- Revenue recognized based on a schedule
-
- All schedules with date <= TODAY, i.e. alert run date
- Revenue recognized on bill
-
- All FP items that should be billed in the reporting range:
-
- Bill Date <= alert run date
- Bill On Completion where FP’s WBS item has Completion or Revised End Date that is <= alert run date
